SD Card help

I finally got a my new phone after a few months of waiting. I inserted an SD card from my old phone into the new one and the new phone isn't recognizing the SD card. I pulled it out of the new phone and plugged it into my dad's Droid X2 and his phone recognized the SD card immediately. All the photos and mp3 files I saved to it showed up, but I plugged it back into the new phone and still nothing.

Anyone know what the problem is? I don't think the card is corrupted or damaged or else the other phone wouldn't recognize it either. Will I have to format the card to work with the new phone?

New phone is an HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

I would copy the files over to your computer and then I would format the SD card on your Incredible. After that I'd transfer the files from PC back to SD card and it should be fine.
