Ive tried most of the home replacements and I keep going back to the stock home. Some of the replacements add some nice functionality but IMO the screen gets too busy for my liking. Still interesting to see what everone else has on their Droid though.
so everytime I go to upload my screen shot by attaching a file using the clipboard icon above this box I get this message "this PNG image has the incorrect file extension" it is a .jpg so what am i doing wrong? it's also the correct width and height as I used screen capture on my droid. I then put the pictures on my computer from my droid but now I can't upload them here? help please
1.) O.K., I verified that I didn't have 2.0.1 even though I got / did the OTA update. PLUS: Whenever I checked for updates it said I was current.
2.) I downloaded the update on my phone and tried to do the manual steps--it failed every time.
3.) I re-downloaded the update on my laptop--transfered the file over--redid the manual steps--success.
At any rate, it seems I'm "officially" back to being part of the gang and not behind-the-times. I figured I'd post in case some one else has encountered a similar / this strange issue.
Wow sounds like a pain, at least you got the update in the end though, the phone is definitely faster, lockscreen is nicer (IMO), and the widgets look a little nicer.
I actually agree. I've found that when you crop your picture for the frame widget, you need to assume that you won't see the "sides" of the image but instead you'll see the center of it. If you rotate the screen, you will see from left to right but not the top/bottom. You never see the entire picture in the frame.
Which calendar widget is this that has the view of the whole calendar at once? (middle of the screen on the right)? Is it Pure Grid? Please let me know. Thanks.
I replaced my boring battery with yours - thanks. I use free CalWidget which I actually think may be a little superior to your paid one... check it out it actually lists holidays and is pretty configurable.
In the original screenshot with all the screens linked together I am just using the standard calendar widget. In the individual screenshots I installed the pure calendar widget. It was about $2 but definitely worth it IMHO. It is fully customizable and has lots of options on sizing/colors/transparency etc. The battery widget I am using is 'BatteryLife' by curvefish. It is slightly bigger 2x1 but I like the way it looks and you can customize the colors based on thresholds you set. It is free on the market.
QUOTE=SSHGuru;72480]What calender and battery widget are you using?
Pure Calendar (about $2) on market. Someone also pointed me towards CalWidget which is free on the app store and also very nice. The biggest differences for me are more skin/customization options with the pure calendar and it also allows you to enter new appointments directly from the widget.
Good point. I think my issue with them most of the time is people put in pics that are important to them but might not be asthetically pleasing or fit with the theme they have designed. Then they just look out of place or detract from the attractiveness of the screen IMHO which might not be important to some people but would drive me nuts
