You can have the widget show whatever you want (facebook, twitter, calls, texts) and there are different themes for it that you download and apply from within the app's settings. If you use launcherpro, the widget can be scrollable.

ADW also enables scrollable widgets too.

if you dont mind can you tell me how to set it up with the calls.. i figured everything else out except for the call log..

You can call people that appear in the list by clicking their picture. You can't load all your contacts in it, but there are some contact widgets in the market.

i cant find the option in the pure messanger app to select calls.. they have facebook, twitter, gmail etc but not calls..

There is no option for you to change or setup, you just click the picture.

If you're talking about a call log, that's a different widget. I think there's a messaging widget that comes with GDE, but I could be wrong. It's been a really long time since I tried GDE.

There is one called "Messaging Widgets" and "Recent Contacts" ...I tried them, but haven't really played with it much so I don't know if you can customize them at all.

Here is my desktop at the moment. I am new to the game and want to thank the forum and all of its great members for all of there helpful posts and tutorials. Its great to break away from the norm and work on something new like the droid. I hope to learn alot more.

Not sure what widget it is or how I got it, I just know its cool. I am running 928Droids theme Black Glass cause it is awesome with the BB v0.4 and chevy's 1.0 med kernel if it helps. OH, and the album is pretty good to, but I love anything that jams, lol.
