Is anyone running a several screens app with the 2.1 upgrade? Like maybe helixlauncher or something? I'd love to get that back. I was using helixlauncher pre-2.1 update...

(not happy with update either, but that's for another thread...)

Thanks to gotta have that funk. The long press on a folder did allow me to rename it and the drag and drop worked too.

I just took a chance and went to market and saw from comments that quite a few people are using helixlauncher1 on 2.1. I've downloaded and ...so far so good.

In fact, my droid's running considerable quicker with this ... strange huh? Now, on to designing my screens. *grin* (ohhh, I hope this stays good... I love the extra screens... I've started out with using 5.) :icon_ banana:

For some reason BetterCut makes that email icon choppy. I used the regular email icon down there and it worked fine. Hmph.

If you ever had an iPhone you'd know the point of folders. Do not take them for granted! I've set up a folder for productivity aps, for "settings" type aps and for entertainment aps. I also use the favorite contacts folder (awesome preset folder). They keep your screens neat and organized, and leave more room for widgets.

Apps Organizer is great for setting up folders.

True, but the only thing I don't like is that you can't set them up with non-apps. Can't create a folder with direct dial contacts for example. I know you can with regular folders, but then you can't use bettercut to change the folder icon.

im using the helixlauncher from the app store post manual 2.1 update and i am more than impressed. only thing ill cautionis im also using better cut for icon replacement and some of the shortcuts dont work. specifically the gallery. it enters a force close loop that is hard to get out of. other than that its great. real snappy!

Finally remembered to get Handscent widget to look like the gmail unread widget... sort of.
