Screenshots of peoples Droid desktops?

Currently working on CCNA, professionally i'm a tv watcher :D. My business card says Network Engineer though, lol. realistically though, it's about right since i'm on the night shift as Net Admin. Just waiting for stuff to go down. Anxiously awaiting the time when i can go back to days. until then though, i can work on certs!

Haha that's the life man! I'm Network Admin with another guy only it's been just me here this week! Do you get to do Domain stuff and Policies or just mainly remote support?

Ok, my question may be somewhat noobish, but I know you can set a picture from your gallery as a wallpaper, but let's say I find one of these cool wallpapers on the net that I want to use as a wallpaper... what's the best and quickest way to get it from the net to my phone?

Well if you're browsing from your phone I believe you can long press on a picture and download it to the appropriate spot from there. Or if you Google an image simply plug in your phone to the PC, mount the card, then copy the picture to your SD. I put all my wallpapers in organized folders in the "Flickie" folder because that's the best Wallpaper app I've found.

Thanks man! I saw a website the other day loaded with wallpapers... and naturally my girlfriend says "well I'd like to have that one on my phone" and of course I had to tell her "one thing at a time honey" LOL

Do they have to be a particular size or will the resolution be messed up if they aren't the right size? Thanks again!

Certs help tremendously. :) I've got a CCNA Security and a CCDA. :)

I would also recommend doing a proof-call to ex-employers you list on your resume. My A+, MCSE, CCNA, and Citrix CCA didn't do me any good because my ex-boss was badmouthing me. We left on good terms (I thought) but even 2 years later, he gave out my home phone number so a mad customer could b*tch about a $100 used PC I sold him.

In the end, I guess I can't complain. Because I never got hired, I am now my own boss.

Tru dat. Always call yo former bosses and make sure yo relationship is still gravy.

Nah man they usually resize right. When I set a wallpaper for my background I always use Flickie because it auto resizes rather than default Gallery in which you have to set a section of it. As for a photo frame size shouldn't matter. (that's what she said). Anyway Droid's run at a 480x854 resolution so simply resize a paper to that if it looks weird on the ol' Droid.

OK cool beenz... I tried to put a pic of my girlfriend as a wallpaper a while back, but when scrolling to different screens the pic moved just enough to where on different screens part of her face was cut off. So I used a photo widget as you can see in my sig pic of my screens, but I went through hell trying to figure out why the widget kept disappearing when I would reboot my phone. Then I discovered (thanks to Droid Forums) that the widgets were being installed on my SD Card and they wouldn't survive a reboot. And of course I also heard "why isn't my picture on your phone any more?" and she didn't like it when I said "because you're on the SD Card and not the phone"... and naturally she thought I was being a wise ass LOL

Thanks for the help! :)

I know LauncherPro allows you to disable wallpaper scrolling, I'd assume ADW would as well. If you want to go back to having her be the wallpaper ;-)

I use ADW, I'll check and see if it does, but actually the photo widgets work better for her pic because I have icons on every single screen so they pretty much cover up her face LOL Thanks!

Haha makes sense man. I usually have a Pic of the Wife, Kid, and some random Babe on my setup usually. :icon_ banana:

LMAO a random babe on my screen would cause me more hassles than I even care to think about... hell hath no fury like her finding THAT on my phone LOL :icon_eek:

Haha for me it just depends on what mood she's in that day.....(Female members don't read this....) Which for me I never know.......:icon_ banana:

I just downloaded Flikie... oh man I love it. Now I gotta install it on her phone when she gets home...YAY!! LOL
