Currently using ADW ex. The dock text is custom via GIMP, and the Picture frame holding the icons was photoshopped onto the wallpaper before placing it on the phone.

Ok, I see how you did it now. With a time live wallpaper with the photoshopped frame and your columns and rows set high so you can drop the icons right on it? Replacing your dockbar images with your gimped ones. Very creative, I give you points for that. Very original

You pretty much nailed it. The dockbar text is also photoshopped on so I could place them exactly how I want them....but still functional as shortcuts.

I decided to make my icons within the picture frame, here's the result:

I love the clean look of these setups but would really love to be able to incorporate images of my daughter on my screens. It's hard if I use the pics as wallpaper because they're usually just candid snapshots... any thoughts? How about a wallpaper or layout that frames smaller images? You guys seem to have a great eye for this stuff so I'm looking for some help.

I didn't do a whole lot, but this might give you some ideas. You could do some text shortcuts or something, or use a transparent icon to launch the app tray, swipe up to open the hidden dockbar with phone, sms, and so on (with ADW)

The dogs in the picture are not mine, but they make me smile every time I look at them.

The status bar thing is on option on CM7. If you're on Droid 1, you need one of the nightly builds.

thanks ! i'm using neutraface in that shot. and as for techniques, there really isn't any besides using a 960x854 wallpaper and putting what ever you want on it. if there's something specific about that shot that you like, let me know and i can help.

Yeah Emek (the artist) does all kinds of concert posters and they are all super awesome! The only thing I make sure to buy at Coachella are his posters, I got them all from every year I have gone, only puts out 550 of them every year. This one is my next tattoo idea as well since it's my favorite one of his
