interesting indeed. what about battery life?
Meh I wouldn't say so, but I don't monitor it 'that' closely. The only app that seems to really drive temps up is Nav/GPS while I'm driving. I usually park it around 800-900mhz for daily use. To be honest, I'm still tinkering w/ profile combo's to find an ideal mix of performance and temp. My battery is almost a year old, so its decaying performance is becoming something more to think about in conjunction w/ tweaking the cpu.

Can you please tell me where I can find this set up. I like everything about this set up and I would like to use it on my droid 1. Please send me some links. What theme is this?
I'm running a Droid X with Gala X theme. On the Droid 1, I think this theme is called Galaxy S? I used Launcher Pro Paid Plus with 4 columns and 6 rows.
Dock - original publicly available, color modded by me (dock_background_icons.zip below)
Wallpaper - original publicly available, color modded by me (dock_background_icons.zip below)
Dock Icons - Originally started with Ultralinx's psd for one of his icon sets (UltraLinx). I changed the text style and color. (attached the ones I made + my psd, see dock_background_icons.zip below).
App Drawer - publicly available, changed color, (see dock_background_icons.zip below).
Weather - beautiful weather widgets with cyanogen glass skin. I changed the color of the skin, redid the "1" digit, deleted the am/pm (skin atttached below ---> CyanogenGlass2_WeatherWidgetSKin.zip, unzip it into your sdcard "data\beautifulwidgets\skins" folder)
Lockscreen - Widget Locker app. Modded with unlock arrow by me. Show me you paid for it in the market, and I will send you the custom apk. Requires root to install (adb push the apk to system/app or use root explorer to copy to system/app, then reboot phone). HDPI phones only.
Lockscreen icons - SMS Unread Count widget (free). Icons modded by me. Based on Token icons by ~brsev. Probably best to copy it to system/app and reboot phone. (SMS_Unread_Widget.zip attached below.)
Lockscreen time/date - Digital Clock Widget (I think), see market.
Battery %: BattStatt, resized with Launcher Pro to center on screen. See the market.
Toggle Switches: Switch Pro Widget. Resized with Launcher Pro. See market.
Status Bar: I changed the color by editing framework-res.apk. I found that on the Droid X (same for other droid's too?) that the filename for the status bar is: statusbar_background.9.png. I copied framework.apk from system/framework/ to my pc. I opened the apk in 7 zip. I dragged and dropped the replacement graphic into the open 7 zip archive (apk). That overwrote the old status bar background with the new one. I then copied framework-res.apk back to system/framework/ and rebooted the phone. See atached statusbar_background.9.png below
