If only Helix Launcher came with a simpler version (no shortcuts), and didn't crash when pressing on widget.

Works just fine on my end and is fast. I really need to find some new wallpapers

Can someone please pm me a link to where you change your upper icons. That is the last thing I want to do and I'm lazy right. I just want my battery, bars, etc up on the top to looks different.

I'd like to know too, Ive been to the cyanogen website, but they only show half the pic, not the full length on here, and its not the highest quality.

If only Helix Launcher came with a simpler version (no shortcuts), and didn't crash when pressing on widget.

Just don't put any shortcuts down there if you don't want them... and mine doesn't crash when pressing widgets...

Mine crashes every time, some other people are having this issue.


The shortcuts are annoying because you can't completely turn them off, even the whole drag to shortcut function. I want to skin the bar, but the developer restricted the app drawer tab, to a little box.

Developers will not like skinning the Helix Launcher...

If your not using the shortcuts, do not want a small center tab.... why even use Helix? And personally I do not see much need to skin the launcher in Helix as its the default is pretty much generic for themes but i know some people are glassing it looks silly to me having a small glass bar.

I skinned it. You can essentially only skin the tab as a square/circle. The image doesn't touch the bottom of the screen so a traditional "tab" won't work. Not such a big deal though. As for the shortcuts and small tab:

I agree. Helix's main features are the shortcuts or small 2.1 like apps tab. If you don't like these two things then why even use it? The ONLY other reason I could see to get it would be the extra screens and there is a 2.0.1 launcher w/ more screens for that.

What APK did you skin i want to darken the all apps image and change the orange to green but thought if i do that to the market one it would not work

I skinned the market one but the only way I could get it to work was to first of all move it from /data/app to /system/app (does not break the install and still shows updates in the market AFAIK) and then skin it using Metamorph instead of replacing the files by hand inside the apk.

This has worked for me so far.

This looks much better over the Green Nexus Live Wallpaper that Pete did up but that did not show the shadow and stuff well for screen shot "as the green beams going under it does and that be some serious timing there"

Attached is the MM Theme just have to move Helix to the /system/app folder before applying

on the live wall paper with my modded set cpu "to match mini info exactly"

reuploaded the MM theme it now had a transparent app drawer

Edit: added the non-live wallpaper screen shot of the app drawer for visablity reasons
