Screen wont turn on

so i recently go the droid original from my uncle. i just dropped in maybe a foot onto a fluffy carpet and now the screen wont show anything. i have already tired turning it on the off and the screen lights up but cant see anything the screen still works because it vibrates when i touchh the screen but i cant see anything. please help!

Have you tried pulling and replacing the battery?
