Screen out?!?

Well I doubt there is a remedy, but I am checking on here in case there is. My 6 year old boy has been using my OG Droid for about 6 months as an "itouch", basically not hooked up to cell service, just wifi. Last night we had some friends over and he dropped it on our hardwood floor. Now, I have dropped it like that 100 times without an issue. But this time the screen appears to be broken. I can turn the phone on, the buttons on the bottom work, but the screen shows black. Well almost black, you can see a tiny hint of a backlight when it is dark. When I turn the screen off then on, I can swipe where the unlock swipe is and it will vibrate and unlock the screen. From there I can do anything and everything works, just can see what I am doing.

Anyways, if anyone has any ideas if this is fixable or not, please let me know.

Its fixable, you'd need to find a place that can do the repair, or send it off to moto.. I don't have a clue on the cost though..
