Screen with read eye

Hello,
I removed my battery about a hour ago to take a look at it, because the battery was getting REALLY hot and it seem that the battery is running down faster and faster.
Well now it boots up to the red eye, or whatever its called and sits there.
I hear my SMS, email twitter ringtones going off in the background but on the screen it just sits there.

What do I need to do to get this to boot up to the lock screen?
I've pulled the battery 2 more times since writing this with the same result.

Thanks

That does not sound good, seems the phones BiOS is posting but Android itself isn't loading?

I would take that into a Verizon store

Pulling the battery out is a last resort, I would have tried to shut it down first.

Does the battery still get hot while you are stuck at the red eye screen?

What charger are you using?

Sounds like a very bad case of a virus. Android OS not loading.
Sometimes if you put the battery back in the phone then dont turn it on just plug it into the charger. Sometimes batteries need a break from to much stress.

I was using the charger that it came with.
the device is 45 days old and I was forced to charge it 3 times today.
I maybe used the device via calls for a total of 30 minutes today.

Thats during the day with 3 charges

Plugged it into the charger and got the DROID logo and then the red eye and it times out.
I press the power button and its still at the red eye screen..
I have heard DROID ringtone 2 times so its doing something.

Also what about me hearing my custom ringtones for SMS;s, eMails, ect.?

Are you using a home replacement app? If so, it may have an issue. Can you boot into safe mode?

YES Im using SweetHome actually.
I just plugged in my device to the charger and pulled open the keyboard and held the menu button down along with the power button.

The device started and then restarted (on its own), and now it seem s to be back...

I will be turning off the device and turning it back on to see if it turns on.

BUT Im still with the original problem...
Why my battery is dying with limited to low usage...

check if an app is draining your battery?

How do I check other than removing all my apps?

charging three times a day is ridiculous, no matter how much you use it, but especially if you are using it very little.. give us a list of apps you have running. and get rid of sweeterhome, see if that helps

I think SweeterHome is your problem. There are several themes that are know to crash/kill the Droid during boot. If you boot into safe mode you can remove SweeterHome and then boot normally. After that do a full drain and charge and give it a day to check the battery life (power management might just need to be configured, which is done by a complete drain (until the phone turns off) and then an FULL charge (left on charger for 2-hrs after the LED shows fully charged)).

And you can check what apps are draining the battery under settings>about phone>battery use.

There has been no reported viruses for the android platform.

Not sure what you mean by the stress comment.
