Quick question I hear the screen on the d3 isn't great on other forums, so I thought I would ask here. I have a d2 and think it's fine and the d3 should be better, so what's your thinking. Thanks

Its not bad at all. Especially if you put an anti-glare screen protector on it, then you can't really tell at all. And its really power efficient. I can have screen on for 5 hours and it will only be 15-20% of the battery use. Text is really sharp also. The only place I can notice the pentile part is the battery icon. Hope this helps.

Yes it does thanks, all these samsung fanboys were bringing me down me (being a motor fan boy) didn't want leave the toughness of motor. My d2 has dropped out of my simi truck several times. I put the battery in and cover on works like a champ

Yeah I have no complaints with the screen. Plus, its really easy to see it in direct sunlight unlight other screen types. My dinc was awful in the sun.

I don't know that I'd say it's better than my Droid1 (it had a great screen), but the power consumption is great and the screen hasn't bothered me at all.

Looks good enough for me.

There has been some controversy over the Pentile screen. I haven't seen any polls but I think most here would say the screen is fine. Everyone I've shown it to is wowed by it.

I would call it great. I can see it in sunlight, everything I've looked at looks good, and it sips battery unlike my d1's screen.

I like the screen a lot - I've compared it to my wife's Fascinate and it's brighter with clearer text (at the same brightness settings). The Pentile controversy is bogus, at least as to the D3. It's a little more noticeable on the X2; perhaps, but even there it's such an overblown "issue" that it's not funny!

I like it alot. Low battery consumption, bright in sunlight, HD video playback is amazing. My friend who had an iPhone 4 since launch saw my D3 and told me the screen was gorgeous. 3 days later he bought an Atrix (same pentile screen) and sold his iPhone lol.

Comparing my D3 to my D1, DX and Thunderbolt (which I gladly sold) I LOVE the screen on my D3!

I compared it to my dx and my old vibrant. And the d3 was a lot better then my dx and just a tad bit less then my vibrant as in colors. But the d3 being a higher resolution looked better then both of them. I find nothing wrong with the d3 screen at all I think its a great screen.

Only time I do that is when I'm laying in bed late at night with my glasses off. I played with the phone at the store, and couldn't see any problem with the screen. Couldn't figure out what people complain about.

Of course, I think the picture on the Fascinate is too damn sharp. Bothers my eyes. I feel like I can see more pixels than anything.
