screen protectors

With gorilla glass do we really need them? I think it cheapens the appearance.

Yes...cause a grain of sand will still make your screen scratch. Same principal as many other things..I'd prefer to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I'll argue that. This new phone looks like the devil with this screen protector. I had one for a little while on my RAZR too. But wound up peeling that off and it still looked beautiful after two years. Besides if it's in an otter box or similar I wouldn't worry about it. So I'll call BB today and see if they'll take it off and give me a refund.

I haven't used a screen protector for years (but do use a case), and haven't had a scratch yet.

Same here, never had a gorilla glass scratch. Go bareback unless you wear diamond earrings or keep your phone in your pocket with sand.

I use a tempered glass screen protector.
Gorilla Glass is scratch resistant, not scratch proof.
I have seen it scratch. I keep my phone in a case with a screen protector.
YMMV and to each his/her own.

If no screen protector works for you, go for it.
I prefer not to take the chance.

My further comments are over in the accessories thread.

Its personal preference..you can argue it all you want..its cheap insurance. Gorilla glass is scratch resistant not scratch proof..

For 15$ i not only cover my screen, but wrap the phone and protect my investment..everybody can do as they please.

I use otterbox defenders..and push out the screen protector and install a military shield...awesome.

As I posted in the accessories thread, that "fog" spot at the top of the screen has now gone. Looks much better now. I guess I'll keep it. Zagg military nano grade. Probably what the guys use over there.

Didn't consider removing the clear plastic face from the OBD. Good idea.
