screen protectors

Skinomi tech, zagg, military shield... any others you can think of.... what is your favorite razr/maxx screen protector? Be specific when listing your likes, dislikes, problems and dealings with the lifetime guarantee companies.

Steinheil are my favorites so far since back when I had the Droid X.

Ultra Crystal-Protection that you can't even tell is there, it feels just like the bare screen.

Ultra Fine-Protection that you can definitely tell is there with a little of a rainbow effect, but you don't get finger prints (unless your hands are really nasty). I have gotten used to the rainbow effect and have fallen in love with the matte finish of this protector.

Every once in awhile I think I am going to take off my Ultra Fine and go back to Ultra Crystal, but the thought of all those fingerprints kills my OCD and I stay with the Ultra Fine.

Something to note about both of these protectors is they don't cover the whole screen, not a problem for me because I use the Ottorox Commuter and what the screen protector does not cover the Ottorbox does.

Lmao. I've never been diagnosed with OCD, but smudges, or even lint or something on my screen will make me go.nuts lol.

So steinheil... do you think that would work well under the stock screen protector of the otterbox defender? Removing the screen protector of the defender is not an option.

If you went with the Ultra Crystal absolutely you won't even tell it is there.

I really like the hard films because they feel more like glass, but I've noticed they get scratched up more easily than the films. I wound up going with a Zagg for this reason. Overrated, maybe, but they work really well. Yes, they're not going to feel or look like glass, but what do you expect?

I got a zagg too, it sticks to the back of my defender screen protector and made it look like it was wet and the screen didn't respond well when I tried to use it. So I removed it.

I absolutely love my anti-glare screen protector from Verizon. But I'd like it more if it had the privacy guard like I had on my BB.

Side note: does anyone else find that their screen protector does not go completely down near the front camera/sensor, and ever so slightly at the bottom? The air bubbles have been pushed out multiple times

Yeah, my screen protectors do the same thing in the same areas.

I just installed the zagg again, but on my wife's maxx, and I pushed out the screen protector on the defender and cleaned the double sided tape off. I like the feel a little more than the defenders cover. So I decided to mod my maxx's, and I ordered maximum coverage sets from zagg. They should be here next week, I hope... and then I'll install the invisishield on both of my maxx's.

And I just ordered some steinheil crystals, just so I can do a comparison. I also ordered a military shield to compare to the zagg. I'm doing my homework :biggrin:

Yeah and I work downtown right off 6TH St, which is the main location for all the bars. It was pretty interesting during SXSW down here, really want to get ACL tickets this year too if I can afford them.
