Screen freaking out

so my screen is freaking out and Im sure its a corrosion issue with some bad water damage i had gotten over the summer...I was wondering if anyone had any tricks to fix this. I heard putting it in a bag of rice for while works, hair dryers too...im going to attempt to do these two things tonight so wish me luck, but if anyone else has a method that works please let me know asap!

Wouldn't do the hair dryer.
If its water, Take the battery out and stick both in rice.
If its old damage you might be out of luck.
