Zuk released one of my favorite sub $300 phones last year in the Zuk Z1. It wasn't one of my favorites because of the build quality, or even because of the specs. I loved the Z1 because it shipped from the factory running CyanogenOS. It is also a super developer friendly phone which you won't find much of.
Today Zuk announced that they would be releasing another version of the Z1 called the Sandalwood. This appears to be a higher end version of the Z1, but it will actually be sold for less. The phone will include a 5.5" 1080p display, snapdragon 801 SoC, 4GB of Ram, 64GB of onboard storage, 13mp and 8mp cameras, 4100mah battery, but this time it will run ZUI and Android Marshmallow. It will only set you back $247.
