Samsung Galaxy Nexus May not be Exclusive to Verizon After-all

From poking around Verizon's Galaxy Nexus landing page today you can clearly see that they have removed the "Exclusivity" clause. It's possible that it was a mistake from the VZW marketing team. If this turns out to mean something, it's not surprising really, as there have been industry hints recently that the phone is likely coming to Sprint as well. Furthermore, it would make sense for Google and Samsung to offer the flagship ICS phone on many or all of the U.S. carriers, especially since the phone's radios are capable of it.

What do you guys think?

I don't think it changes anything .. maybe helps lure more developers if anything

Shoot, I'm surprised it is even going to VZW since it's a Nexus phone and the bootloader needs to be unlocked per Google's standard (or did I miss something where it's going to be locked on VZW??)

The more networks one phone is on, the better... The iPhone is now on all the major US carriers, which helps push it's total sales up, same thing will happen to the Galaxy line (even tho I'm not a fan of Samsung, I'm definitely not a fan of iOS.)

I'm against this being exclusive. The more carriers this device is on, and sooner, the more dev support we'll have in the end.

Well since the presentation I think we all knew it wasn't going to be a Verizon only device in the US. I think the "exclusive" part meant that Verizon will get it first, with other carriers to follow.

Just let me order it already! I dont care how many networks its on. I have been holding on to my upgrade for so long I am ready to go nuts. :cus:

If it does come to Sprint I do believe I will be switching carriers. I've had five lines with Verizon for about 5 years now and two are up for renewal. Over the last 3 months I have received some of the worst customer service ever. I have a few friends with Sprint in my area and their reception is fine.

If this does come to Sprint I do believe I will suspend one of my Verizon lines. And give Sprint a try for two weeks.

i dont really care if other carriers get it. just as long as verizon gets it by mid november. ive been waiting for a new phone since aug. i cant take it much longer!

Guys, "exclusive" doesn't mean that it will never be on anyone else. It just means "exclusive to Verizon at first". Other carriers will have it later.

why can't anyone understand that?
