Samsung Galaxy 3 for Verizon

Hi somehow my navigating system get automatically update it with a Google Map version of the built in Navigator. I think its horrible and it never seems to work. I keep getting the message "No network connection'. Can anyone please help me with this?

I think you are talking about the route map new to google maps. You still have the option to proceed to the full navigation. you have to choose the route then press start.

The update us automatic and I believe mandatory.

Have you tried to clear the maps app cache data? That is usually the second thing to try (Reboot or battery pull the first). Alternatively you can go to app manager and try uninstalling updates. The update will probably try to install back in though shortly.

I have the S4 and had the same thing happen with the latest Map update. I despise the new look and setup. Recent destinations - gone, home - gone, current location added - hell, I already know where I am.

Go to your app manager, then to maps - uninstall update - clear cache, and you should be back to the version before the update. Hopefully, Google will take note and come out with a fix that will give us the more familiar look.

Won't you be back to the original version that came with the phone and not the next to last version?

Hey you won't believe this but I went to Verizon to complain and they told me all I need to do is take out the battery for few seconds and put it back in. It worked!!!! Smh
