May 12th is looking like a big day for Verizon phone releases. Industry rumor leads us to believe there is a good possibility that two new Android phones will be released that day to Verizon stores. But the rumors don't end there, and it looks like the month of May will usher in an additional new smartphone for Verizon on the 26th. Below is a list of the upcoming Android release phones:
It sure seems like Verizon is glutting the market with a bunch of new phones. Then again, it makes sense for them to start replacing some of the aging current models with new stuff. Do any of these phones look intriguing to you guys?
- DROIDX2: May 12 – Reps are being told to sell through the remaining inventory of the original DX to make room for the DX2. And remember that the DX2 is expected to be Verizon’s first dual-core Tegra 2 phone.
- LG Revolution: May 12 – The next 4G LTE device, which will follow up the DROID Charge. It’s also expected to be the first Android phone to launch with Netflix support.
- Sony Xperia Play: May 26 – You all know it as the PlayStation Phone. It looks like it’s finally ready for the States. Should be offered in all VZW stores.
