Wait... I was able to boot from a vanilla fission rom when I first got my phone. Is it possible to get that rom onto this sdcard and rename and install?

on your computer download the rom you want and in the my computer the drive your looking for is either f or e drive click to open place rom there rename unmount phone and install

once you get to that screen plug your phone into a computer then hit mount usb

There is no "Mount USB" option...

in the partitions menu click that there should be a mount usb option in there

These are the only options I see, reboot system now, apply sdcard:update.zip, wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache partition

Can I buy some kind of USB thumb drive with a micro sdcard port to mount it and then load the rom and then insert it back to my phone?

crap that is the stock boot loader do you have anyway to mount the sd card to a computer maybe your friend has a droid ??

This is what I'm going to do... Tomorrow I'm gonna go purchase this Staples® Relay® 2GB Micro SD Card & Adapter | Staples®

Then I will download rom and rename and hope for the best!
