ringer length?

So I trimmed some songs to use for my phone ring tone and one for a contact ring tone.

I kept missing calls and I was like how am i not hearing it? Well I was sitting on the couch last night and I had it next to me ... my boyfriend called and it only played like 3 seconds of the ringer. My mom called not too long after and same thing with her.

anyone else notice this issue?

nope i actually thought it might be a little too long .. ringer length says 35 seconds

Ya when I check it the ringer length is perfect it's just when it's an incoming call <sigh> I dunno

I've used both trimmed songs and full length songs for ringtones, and I've never had a problem. It sounds like something is borked in your clipping process, either with the gain, or the file itself...

What I meant have you played the ringtone? I also think the ringtone is messed up during editing.. You used ringdroid?

I'm going into the music program on the incredible, picking the song, "trim ringtone" then "set as contact" and i played the ringer back to make sure it trimmed the right part and it works.

It's just the incoming call part where it only plays a few seconds

I figured it out!!!! yay!!!!!!

the option for "quiet ringer" when you pick up the phone was checked "on"

now it works just fine
