The Alliance for Wireless Power has been working hard to standardize the wireless charging realm since its foundation not too long ago. Luckily, they realized that their original A4WP logo doesn't really roll off the tongue easily and isn't exactly consumer friendly. Because of this, they have just announced their new consumer branding which is called Rezence. While we aren't sure it is that much easier to remember/relate to, its inception is interesting. They arrived at this name by combining the word Resonance and Essence. This makes sense in the context of what they are trying to accomplish. The wireless charging tech utilizes non-radiative magnetic resonance technology in order to facilitate wireless charging of devices.
