Return my HTC Rezound today for Galaxy Nexus

I returned my Rezound for the Nexus, so far I'm enjoying the hell out of the Nexus DancingNexus.

I haven't had any data issues as of yet, but the phone aspect of the device isn't as good as the Rezound, but the GPS seems to be a lot better.

I have a question, I added my facebook account but have yet to see pictures link to my contacts, what am I missing?

Congrats on the Nexus. Unfortunately Facebook sync doesn't work on ICS yet. You can however download Haxsync and that works

SyncMyPix is what I used for syncing FB contact pictures, and it worked great and was free. The pictures aren't hi-def, which I am hoping 4.0.3 will remedy, but it is sure better than having no pictures for any of my contacts!

I'm not sure I'm enough of a techie to do this.

If you, or anyone wants some help unlocking their bootloader and rooting feel free to send me a private message and I will gladly walk you through the steps - I promise it's not that hard, add long as you can read and follow instructions, you can root. :)

If you still would rather not, than haxsync is a great app. I used it for a while and I must say that it was possibly the best two bucks I spent on the app store. worked wonders!

Haxsync uses HD photos if that is important to you.

I would prefer HD photo's, the question is how long before facebook is updated for ICS?

I know the more I play with my Nexus, the more I like it. This is the best phone I've had, I don't understand how people can not like it, knock on wood I've had no issues with connection of any kind. The phone is great so far, comparing to my wife's Rezound the only thing better is youtube videos seem a little sharper on Rezound.

No doubt which phone is better will always be personal preference ' Ford vs Chevy, Mustang vs Camaro'. I know I'm glad I've been taking to another Galaxy!

Take things slow at first and get used to the phone. But soon you will be wanting to root and that's when it really gets fun!

Keep in mind the sooner you unlock the bootloader the better since it will completely wipe your phone. So before you get into to much modifying unlocking it at least isn't a bad idea. You can always wait to root till you are more comfortable. You will also find that unlocking and rooting is all so darn easy with this phone.

Enjoy your new phone!

Is it easier to root and rom this phone than the thunderbolt? Thunderbolt was simple but I got nervous couple of times.

I'm also nervous about bricking my phone. I know you can sbf or something but I have no idea how to do that

The Thunderbolt was a nightmare compared to this phone when it comes to unlocking the boot loader and rooting.

The Nexus is so darn easy! You won't even believe it.

Revolutionary was much easier than the original for the bolt but still no comparison.

Will unlocking and rooting this phone interfer with future OTA updates?
