Reset procedure for Galaxy S3

Recently, Samsung pushed out a BAD update that caused alot of issues! These are the steps i used to completely restore ALL of the software on my phone. I am currently having no issues since i performed all of these steps.

NOTE: This procedure is based on the STOCK Samsung firmware and build!

1. Backup ALL of your data

2. Plug phone into computer while phone is on.

3. Install all the software from verizon onto computer.

4. Turn phone off and place into Download mode. (Hold the home key and volume down while pressing the power button.

5. After the drivers install, proceed to open the verizon software updater, click on repair, and select the entry with no phone number. Click "repair" on the right side.

6. This step is optional...but i always do it for safe measure. Factory reset the phone twice from the settings menu. This will align the radio and reload the correct settings.

7. Install the OTA update.

8. Perform 2 factory resets in the settings option and one in recovery mode.

9. Perform 2 More Factory resets. As well as format your sd card between resets.

I hope this helps some of you out to get your S3 running amazing again!! This is a verizon way of fixing your phone! ENJOY!

NEWS FLASH:

You can now use Samsung Kies to restore/reset your Galaxy S3 to factory!

Download the software here:

Then plug phone into computer.
Open software...go to tools...select reset and initialize! ;)
