Samsung Galaxy S3 not connecting to Kies

My new Samsung Galaxy S3 will not connect to Kies. I have followed a days worth of advice on web.
Still no go. Decided to try my friends Samsung S3 to connect to Kies, Very strange, it connected after about 15 secs.
Tried mine again no go. Tried my friends, it again connected.
I then compared both phones through all the settings and could not find a difference as to why Mine does not connect.
Any ideas?

I get a message that the phone isn't supported by Kies 3, and it is on the 4.3 update.
