Reset Droid with PC?

the screen on my Moto Droid broke, completely. It won't work at all. but, thats not the problem here. I would like to hard reset my phone to see if that would do anything, but the problem is, I can't use the phone itself in any way. So, what I would like to know is if there is any way to reset the phone using the USB cable and my computer. I have searched already and was unable to find an answer. so, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

yes, boot into the bootloader (up on the dpad + power) then you can use rsd lite to flash an .sbf file to reset your phone.

link 2 in my sig has more details.

If your screen is dead, its dead. Its a hardware issue most likley. Using RSD Lite doesnt hurt but it is not going to fix the screen if it is a hardware defect. Chances are your going to have to get a new phone.
