repeatedly toggling GPS causes shutdown

has anyone else run across this problem? i find that if the gps is toggled on and off a few times in quick succession, the phone will shut itself off. this becomes an issue, since i'm trying to set up tasker profiles to avoid the no-sleep bug.

i've found one mention of this problem here: Tasker crashes Droid X when toggling GPS - Tasker | Google Groups but was wondering if it's a known bug or if it still exists in froyo.

I have problems with gps too, it's really annoying since I use it often and had no problems with my D1. I read a post on here from someone who had 2.2 and they said it did fix their GPS problem...I'm hoping it does and I get the 2.2 update really soon.
