Removing "UPDATE READY" notification

This probably has been addressed 10 to the 125th power times already. Life is crazy for me at the moment trying to get my daughters moved into college. I haven't been on top of my Droid like I used to.
Anyway, I'm rooted and running the FRG22 Build of Froyo and my phone is aggravating the poop out of me wanting to install the official 2.2.
Should I or is it best to ignore and HOW DO I CANCEL THE NOTIFICATIONS?

Accept the update and when it boots into recovery the update will fail and you can just reboot the phone. Both SpRecovery and clockwork block the update
