[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.6 - Ice Cream Sandwich - 6-8-2012

If you follow all the steps, it will erase all your apps and settings. However, any internal or external sd card data (photos, music) will be kept.

And contacts and purchased/downloaded apps are backed up to my Google account. And I'll upload most of my photos To Drive, just in case.

Well, I'm going to try to flash this! Thanks for the help!

EDIT: What does it mean by install RSD? On The Computer Or the Phone? Because I see no EXE/apk program possible of installing.

RSD is installed onto your computer

I got that problem figured out. Now I have a new one! The boot animation has been spinning itself silly for about 20 minutes. What should I Do?

Just tried that. It's still spinning after 10 minutes

go back and wipe system along with all the others and reflash

Edit: just reread the instructions. Let me clarify, wipe system (mounts and storage), data, cache, dalvik, and battery stats (advanced).

Just wanted to let everyone know that I successfully installed it.

Big thanks to everyone who put up with and helped this big noob.

One puzzling thing is, Where is the screenshot feature in the, Well, Preview Screenshots on the main post of this topic?

I'm having the same problem as MikeTheCat, I wiped everything, reflashed and started from scratch and I'm still stuck at the boot animation.

You have to add the "Screenshot" option to the Power Menu. The option is in "ROM Control" somewhere, can't exactly remember where, just play around and you'll find it.

If your getting to the Boot Animation thats a good sign atleast. You can either A, wipe and reflash again, or B, SBF and start from scratch.

I hope to have a new build, v5.5, soon. Dont know when. Its takinga while to get the build environment to build again. Hashcode has made some commits, but they have yet to be reviewed. Its not over, just taking a long time. lol
