Got the 2.2 Update this AM, but when I retrieved the phone from its cradle afterward, all I have is the Motorola "M". I removed the battery to try to re-boot, but still the M.
I have a bad thought that I didn't get the whole update and it's still trying???
It's a stock phone.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

See if it will boot in safe mode:

Turn off your phone, then hold down the Menu and Power/Hang Up buttons, and keep holding them through the splash screens until your phone boots. You’ll see "safe mode" in the lower left corner and none of your neat stuff like home replacements will be present.

Not sure

Not sure what you mean, Hook.
The only way I can turn off the phone is to remove the battery...Right?
Then, I understand the On/Off button, and I also press the menu/list icon list on the bottom.....but still just the "M". No flash screens, no changes.
Thanks

Well, if it's just doing that I'd go to Verizon. It's their update.

Sometimes stuff happens, I see it every update. You may be an unfortunate victim. One of the reasons I prefer doing updates on line instead of OTA.
