I have the droid and rooted it but about a week ago I tried using some froyo roms and this problem occured. I tried different roms, nandroid backups, flashing 2.01 through rsd lite, but the problem has persisted through everything I do.
The phone runs fine unless I turn off my phone or it dies due to the battery being drained. Upon reboot I have to redo the sign in to google process and starts pulling all sorts of core process errors. Google calendar, google language latin. So in order to get it working again I must use recovery and wipe it completely.
Upon pulling up recovery I get the following errors'
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
E:Error in CACHE:recovery/log
(Bad file number)
