Yeah, I've noticed a huge decrease in battery life compared to when I first bought my Maxx with gingerbread. I was able to go almost 3 days without a charge with my normal use (texting, browsing, etc). I do the same thing still, but have to charge daily. I bought the Maxx so I didn't have to charge daily, lol.. meh.

Go into System settings, about phone, then look at system version. If ICS, will have a .211. in the version. Plus look at what is under Android version, if ICS it should show 4.0. If you have both of these number, then you are on ICS.

This link is the best solution yet. It makes ics battery last longer and..... well.....read the link. Plenty of instructions included. Yes, it's official Motorola software.

Ics = ice cream sandwich
Jb = jellybean
Gb = gingerbread etc

I'm on ICS .215 and it sucks the battery bad. I went ahead and installed the GO Launcher, along with it's app where you can use different power modes. It seems to do the trick for now. But yeah, in terms of battery life and button sizes, I miss Gingerbread. Unfortunately though, my phone is freaking slow. I wish I knew how to clean it up a bit.

Yes improved battery life with the. 215 leak. Not sure on JB but moto say sometime by the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013, I think.
