Razr Maxx Battery Issues?

Here's what my kernel wake time looks like. My phone has been running flawless. Love the maxx battery. This is with mild usage. I think yours is running pretty normal<img src="http://www.droidforums.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=62776"/>

Here is mine. I seem to have a few items I need to check yet. But longest I've gone is 53.5 hrs with 4 hr screen time.

Mine seems to be right in that area also so I will assume that it is in the normal range. Took me a long time to find the app that was keeping the phone up and then the second one that took over when I fixed the first one lol but now I know if I use those two apps, I have to reboot or the phone will remain awake. Minor inconvenience. Mine is running great lately!

Its running great with a lot of help from all of you guys here! You were the ones who gave me ideas on where to trouble shoot and look for what was making it act stupid!

So I factory reset my phone again, and backed up then wiped the sd card as well. So far, after being on for 3 hours, the kernel has 0 keep awake time. It seems like the battery is pretty much back to normal, only gone down about 8% in those 3 hours with pretty light use. I also haven't turned wifi on yet, to see if that was the problem. So I'm guessing it was something either on my sd card or it had to do with wifi. I will turn on wifi tomorrow to see if that changes the stats at all.

Hopefully it's all cleared up. Did you do a meter calibration to clear up the mysterious battery issues?

I hope that fixed your issues! I did wipe my SD card during my trouble shooting...didn't know if there was a corrupt file on there that the phone kept trying to read. My thoughts were if it was smart enough to know it was corrupt it should be smart enough to know not to try to read it over and over and over. Guess not huh lol. Anyway, please post back after you turn on WiFi and see how your battery life is. I truly hope you have found the issue! Don't know about you, but if something is not running right, it bugs me until I figure out why its not running right.

Yes definitely. I wanted the MAXX for the battery life, and if it's not even giving me that anymore, what's the point?

And I will make sure I try a meter calibration tonight and tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Don't get too excited. It will change I did 2 FDRs and after a few hours the wake locks were back.

So I am almost positive the issue has to do with WiFi. When I turn it off, I don't get any "keep awake" time under kernel, or at least barely any. When WiFi is on, the keep awake time goes up and my battery dies much quicker. For now I guess I will just have to keep WiFi off for most of the time, but it would be nice if I could find a fix for this.

I have seen wifi issues with JB but mostly they were inability to connect or stay connected. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any options/solution others may have found. One positive thing - you know what the culprit is.

?? Did you find something?

Well I saw something the other day that lead me to think it could be wifi related. Something about how the router constantly checks to with the phone to see "are you there?" and that kills the battery as well as keeping the phone awake when it shouldn't be. Problem is, I'm on a college campus so I can't mess around with the router or wifi at all. I might take my phone into Verizon in a week or two when I get back home to see if they can do anything about it.
