Random Facebook Notifications

I've turned off auto-sync for Facebook and for GMail. When I want to check them, I just sync them manually. However, I'm still getting Facebook notifications whenever I receive an e-mail in Facebook. Nothing else, just e-mail messages.

Anyone know why this is happening?
