Droidn00b: No autosync = No push notifications?

Hi, I'm just wondering if I turn off all of the auto sync stuff and manually sync it, will I still get push notifications the instant they are received on Gmail or facebook or twitter?

Same question with the background data, btw!



Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, I'd just really like to get my incredible running well without the battery dying in an two hours.

no you won't get the emails immediately because it won't be searching for updates. at least that's my understanding.
