Question about green circle with number

On my favorites widget, I have a green number 1 in the bottom right corner of one of my contacts.

I've searched and read in other posts that it could be from: missed msg, missed call, facebook, etc.

I did miss a call and text from the contact but have cleared both. The contact is not synced with facebook or flickr or anything like that and I am still getting the green 1 alert. Even after I've checked and deleted the message and missed call.

Any ideas why it's still showing? how do I clear it?

Well, I always get that when I have a new message waiting for of from that person. What do you have the contact's main function set to?

If you use a different app for messaging such as Handscent SMS, the Widget may be looking at your default Messaging App to determine unseen messages.

Try going into Messaging to view any unseen messages.
