Problems putting music properly on samsung acclaim

I am trying to put music from my pc on my wifes acclaim. I got it all on the card and everything shows up except the artists names! Any clue as to what the problem could be? I created a music folder on mini sd card and copied and pasted the files.

Verify that the tag data in the files is correct and complete. If the tags need updating then correct them on the PC and resync or copy them over again.
