Problem recharging

I put the phone cord in the bottom of my phone and into the wall outlet. It will go from 40% to 30%. It like I plug it it to loose battery power. Its odd. I tried my other cord and it does the same thing. Frustrating. This phone is two months new. Metro pcs, alcatel, one touch, fierce, xl, ....

This could be an issue with the firmware. A similar problem surfaced with the Droid Turbo 2 and many required the phones to be returned for replacement. In fact it happened to treetop of my phones. This was related to the upgrade from lollipop top marshmallow. In your phone's case it could be other things as well. I'm not familiar with that particular phone model but perhaps others can lend some advice.
