Power Button is Mushy

Well do you have a raised keyboard?

my power button was mushy... my headphone jack was crackling... my battery door kept sliding off... got a replacement. all the issues fixed. got my new droid replacement tonight. the power button now is stiff, and has a distinct click "feel" when i press it. the music is now completely clear with no crackling. the battery door is rigid and takes some force to remove. maybe i got a newer model with all the prior issues resolved? nevertheless, i was super anal and OCD about the details so i got my replacement. mainly because it gives my some piece of mind that my phone wasnt already half broken when i bought it, and it won't break down next week.

SSH, would you replace the Droid just for the mushy power button?

Paul

No. In fact I wouldnt even know about the mushy power button issue if it werent for this forum.

How much of a click are you supposed to get? If I pay attention I get a little one but it's a very difficult button to push when you're not trying to which isn't a bad thing.

No SSHGuru pre-dated Secure Shell by many years. I started an email service called the Small Stock Hotline before there was even email much else but AOL. Before you could really use the internet.

Ok. Thanks. By the way, I'm just wondering, does your screen name (SSH) refer to Secure Shells lol? I'm a computer guy and saw your screen name...

can someone help me out. i dropped my droid on the corner where the power button is. it indented in and no longer has the click feel of knowing when its pressed and is very cumbersome to deal with. i just got the phone 3weeks ago and dont want to fork up 90 for verizon to fix or the 75 to ship ti to motorola. everything works fine just this damn broken button is so annoying! why cant they just replace the damn .50 cent plastic piece?!
