Tell that to all the people who were going crazy waiting for the GS2 to be released in the States. Look through the forums, you can find plenty of them. But hey, you need to try and save face so you will say whatever you feel makes you look less silly. Its cool.

Yeah, keep trying to convince yourself of that...

You can correct me if I'm wrong but I think for most people the main issue is that the droid bionic was released and it shouldn't have been. The data connectivity flaw Is such a major issue that the phone Should have been recalled as opposed to waiting 2 months from the Initial release to get a fix?

The honest and right thing to do would be for verizon and motorola together to credit the amount for the bionic and credit the upgrade back to those who wish to get a different phone since the bionic has major issues before a fix 2 months after release...

The problem with that is if manufacturers started doing that, the smartphone industry would die overnight. Every smartphone, and I do mean every single smart phone, has had bugs when it is first released. If manufacturers are gonna give credits to people because of that, then they would never make any profits from smartphone because they would be giving credits for every phone they ever make.

Wow. Just, Wow. 6 pages on this thread? To me, this is just the spill-hot-coffee-on-myself-and-sue-McDonalds mentality taken to the next level. Are we ever responsible for the decisions we make, or is it always someone else's fault?

That is probably the worse analogy that could be applied to this situation - no offense intended. People know coffee is HOT. It's advertised as HOT.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that analogy. A stretch, but still accurate. Exactly what's wrong with this country. Always blaming somebody else for the decision you make, even when it comes down to the purchase of a FREAKING phone. But but but it's their fault. They lied to me. Boo-hoo. You had 14 days to return the thing. If you didn't, that's because you were fine with it. Now deal with it.

Plus the woman that sued had 3rd degree burns...if i can drink hot coffee from the pot as soon as i pour it...well her coffee was too damn hot. That's why she sued not because she spilt it on herself.

It is an interesting take on things though, I remember a law suit won by a woman who burnt herself on advertised hot coffee and won the lawsuit. Lol
Lets Sue moto for having locked bootloaders even though we know they're locked :-D

Of course every smart phone has its bugs in release however, with the new update set to be released, I believe that the Bionic and Razr would be on par with each other, and given the fact that the Razr is going to be released in November along with the Bionic update, you can't really use the excuse of bugs on the device anymore seeing as they're going to be addressed. I think the only gripe that some people may have might be the lack of support to the Bionic and more of it going towards the Razr. Will that be the case? It may, it may not be. If that is the case, then that's pretty *crappy on Motorola's part, but if not, then I personally see this is a business move on Motorola's part to get the attention of the Android customers on Verizon, especially to detract from the Nexus, iPhone and Vigor/Rezound whatever the *hell its called. Probably what Motorola did was put out the Bionic to see what issues there were, fix it up, port that over to the Razr and boom, two devices comparable to each other which for Motorola = $$$

Edit: My apologies to the language

No, it's called misrepresentation. And I'll say it one last last last time. I'm happy with my Bionic. But me and how I feel is not what this thread is about.

The Bionic has a few advantages over the Razr:

1). The Length and width are actually smaller. The total area is 7% less, even though the volume is much greater due to the thicker depth. The Bionic is easier to put in a man's pocket and less likely to fall out.
2). The removable battery. We can pack a second battery in the wallet for a day on the go. With the RAZR, you better be near a charger at some point during the day. That doesn't work for a lot of business people who travel.
3). The brighter screen - but that's a matter of preference. A lot of people say they don't care for the brightness because of the pentile technology. But it's clearly a lot easier to spend a day out in the sun with the Bionic.

The above 3 are clear advantages for people who spend time outside and on the go.

Yes tclayton but the problem with your statement is your talking about minor bugs or annoyances the problem with the droid bionics is that it is a major major major issue with almost every single phone. The phone should have been recalled or should have had a fixed immediately.

You can not say that if the manufactures did that it would be the end of smartphones we arent talking about little bugs were talking about hey miss you that is so catastrophic the phone should have been recalled. Almost anything in the world that is defective is replaced what does very least money is given back....

Nobody should have to wait 2 months for their phone to work correctly but It basically doesn't work half of the time because of the data connectivity issue. So if I were to walk into verizon right now in say I want my money back and my upgrade back because you guys sold a defective phone , there should be no issue s*** autozone replaces defective alternators all the time...

I'm sorry but the people that are complaining just because the razor is coming out are whiny babies. Who cares this is what the world of phones is about you buy 1 and then the next month 1 comes out....

However as I've said before I love my droid bionic minus the data issue. Honestly I wouldn't trade for a phone that has a battery that is not removable. i.e. the iphone

However, as is the droid bionic is a defective phone. there should be no issue getting your upgrade back and your money credited back into your account so that you can get a new phone to replace a defective 1.

Now after that update is released things maybe different but until then they should be replacing people's phones who are not satisfied with a defective hand set.
