Samsung just announced the Galaxy Nexus last night. According to the signup page, it will be available on all carriers. Is Samsung also the Devil since they just released the Galaxy S2 and already have the Galaxy Nexus ready for release?
This is the future guys. Product cycles are getting shorter and shorter. The days of a flagship phones being the top phone for 6 or more months is over. Its the nature of technology.

Android 2.3 phone running touchwiz V.S. a pure google phone running 4.0 and from what I understand Samsung S2 owners had fair warning of the Nexus but are different enough so no biggy. Nothing like what we have here with Moto.

1) Galaxy S2 has been out since May.
2) Nexus is Verizon exclusive for some period of time, so it will be even longer before launching on carriers that have the S2.

Please tell me which US carrier has had the GS2 since May. And please tell me where VZW,Samsung or Google has said the Nexus will be a Verizon exclusive.

Exactly. The Nexus is an upgrade over the GS2 which JUST came out. that's exactly what people are complaining that Moto is doing with the Bionic/Razr.
And yes, the GS2 owners have had warning that the Nexus is coming because there have been leaks and rumors. And you know what? There have also been leaks and rumors about a phone from Moto that would be coming out this year and would be better than the Bionic. there were different guesses what the name would be, but the same people leaking info on the Nexus were leaking info on the Moto phone.

JUST = 6 months between I guess?

In Motorola's case, it's 2 months.

So to show me what US carriers have had the GS2 since May, you direct me to a site that talks about the global version of the phone and not the US versions. And to show me where Verizon is getting the Nexus exclusively you direct me to a site that shows Samsung saying that no US carriers have been determined yet.
No wonder I can't convince you of anything. There is clearly some kind of language barrier.

oops, my bad. the first link actually says the US version was first released in September...which last I checked isn't May

Apparently you can't read?

EDIT: Well, the 2nd link has been updated since it originally came out. So now Samsung is backtracking. Doesn't change the fact of what they originally said. They probably got their hand slapped for releasing info early, and are trying to CYA.

I'm sure you can relate

Umm...it has to do with living in the US. People in the US just got the GS2 and now the Nexus is coming out. That was my whole point.

But, the phone has existed in the wild for a long time. Just because we just got it, is a moot point. If the RAZR had been available in Europe since May, it would change quite a bit of the attitudes in this thread I'm sure.

You can correct me if I'm wrong but I think for most people the main issue is that the droid bionic was released and it shouldn't have been. The data connectivity flaw Is such a major issue that the phone Should have been recalled as opposed to waiting 2 months from the Initial release to get a fix?

The honest and right thing to do would be for verizon and motorola together to credit the amount for the bionic and credit the upgrade back to those who wish to get a different phone since the bionic has major issues before a fix 2 months after release...

Tell that to all the people who were going crazy waiting for the GS2 to be released in the States. Look through the forums, you can find plenty of them. But hey, you need to try and save face so you will say whatever you feel makes you look less silly. Its cool.

I would love and keep this phone no prob if it weren't for LOSING DATA ALL THE TIME!!!!!

Ok guys ... we all have our different opinions and thoughts, which is great! But let's also remember this is a community, we are all here because of android. It's fine to disagree/debate but we (Including myself) are letting this get a little out of hand... we are all on the same team, we should support and respect each others thoughts/opinions and if need be reply with the same dignity and respect you would expect. I just don't like seeing things turn ugly on something which is basically based on personal views and opinions. We all have a right to them. I'm not going to close this thread, but I have a feeling someone will if people can't respect each others opinions or hold a logical, non-combative debate.. Remember, their are 1000's of people reading these messages, some with Bionics I am sure. Now with all the negativity about the Bionic out there, someone is bound to get their feelings hurt. Many people love the Bionic, such as I do. Many people wish they never saw it. We don't know how it will end up a month or so down the road.. but let's just try and be considerate of each other and each others feelings..
