Dang I feel special, I must be some sort of x-men psychic super genius/luckiest man in the world. When I bought my Bionic, I was coming from an X2, and I said to myself "I will join the Peace Corps and work to end world hunger if this phone doesn't have problems the first month or two." Sure enough, sorry Africa...
Am I really alone in not being hulk-smash-angry because of a few minor bugs? While I agree the data issue is ridiculous, it certainly doesn't "ruin" my phone or prevent me from using it. If it happens, I just reboot it. A minor 2 minute inconvenience I braced myself for which I KNOW will be fixed soon (yeah, yeah, I'm sorry to the handful of people who claim this fix doesn't work, which I fail to understand/fully accept). Wow, so you have to store a few apps in your 8gb of internal storage for now, God forbid. I don't really care about the screen, to the more nit picky folks I see what you're saying, but just cause you have OCD vision doesn't mean the phone sucks. Am I upset about these stupid bugs? Yes. Am I suffering even the slightest buyer's remorse? Not at all. Maybe it helps being a life long PC gamer, but 99% of PC games released have a patch within the first month or two. Just happens. They did open and/or closed betas and it was in development for months, if not years, BUT there are still bugs. Such is life.
And I'm sick of hearing both sides of the argument at this point. Why can't people just leave us happy Bionic owners alone? And happy owners, why can't we learn to just ignore the haters? Why does every thread have to have a troll who talks about how stupid we are/screwed over we were or how we're the ones with no patience cause we couldn't wait for the next best thing? I think even a 7 year old can comprehend there's always something better around the corner (maybe better than most adults actually). If you fail to accept this point, then you shouldn't ever spend more than $150 on electronics. Again, maybe I'm just really special in being able to see the bigger picture here, knowing it's blatantly obvious this phone will have ICS eventually, and being able to sacrifice a few minutes out of my day to restart my phone only for now, but for some apparently odd reason I love my Bionic and can't wait for this update.
In summation, suck it up. It's not that big of a deal. I also forked over $300 for this thing. I knew the risks (I thought everybody did at this point) and I have no problem dealing with them as I know they'll be resolved. If you don't want it, return it. If you don't have one, then shut up and stop criticizing our phone. Your opinion means nothing to me and I only end up feeling sorry for you and your need to look intelligent and informed. This thing is the shiz and I love wasting my free time on it. Patience is a virtue people, and the smartphone world will bring this classic saying to life more than ever before.
Oh, and also, no way in hell should we be offered to switch phones. That is the most ridiculous suggestion I've ever heard when it comes to phones. Welcome to the corporate world America, spend a lot of money and you're going to be disappointed in something.
