Phantom Voicemail

I have a voicemail icon in my notification that says I have 1 voicemail. I don't even use verizon vm, I use google voice. if I call *86 to call verizon voicemail the recording says I have no new voicemails. I tried rebooting the phone with no success. I also booted up with no sim then rebooted again with sim and I still have the voicemail icon. Any thoughts? Thanks

Nevermind.... I went to Settings > Call - under "Device" I went into "Call". Under "Voicemail" there is a option "Clear Voicemail Notification". That seems to have done the trick.
