Well, it took 9 months but I finally added enough applications to the phone that I'm now being told I'm out of space for adding any others.

I understand that many apps (all?) can be installed on the SD card if so desired but how?

I own Astro if that can help me move apps over. However, I'm not quite sure what the process should be. Can someone point me to a thread that discusses how to pull that off?

Thanks.

Go to settings, applications, manage applications then open each app up and see if their is an option to move to SD card.. we need an app tells you which apps can be moved..

I moved the apps (to the SD card) yesterday that were able to be moved and the icon for the app on the desktop disappeared. All that was on the desktop was the name of program. I move them back to the phone and rebooted and the icons appeared. Not sure what happened to cause that (probably something I did wrong??)

Let it be known that APP2SD can only be used on cyanogen 5.X and Froyo, ive never really had success with APP2SD. I tried it on an early froyo build and it moved 5 apps over but they seemed to completely screw up and I had to uninstall them (they werent system apps or widgets either, nor did i force them over)

I havnt seemed to have an issue. What I don't get is they say you cant really move an widget to SD but I have a few apps with widgets that are able to be moved to sd and I havnt noticed a problem with them at all?

Check out app 2 SD in the market. Its free and it will give you a list of all your apps that can be moved so you don't have to look at each app yourself.

Thats what I was using and it removed all my icons (that i had moved) from my homescreen and replaced them with blank icons, none of which would work when i clicked them. But then again this was weeks ago so the issues may have been fixed.

I just downloaded it about a week or so ago. Maybe there was a bug that's been fixed? I haven't had any issues at all. I'm running lithmod.

"APP 2 SD" worked great for me. The only catch was that it only found about 10 apps that could be moved. I guess it's time to start pushing people to make their apps support SD installs.

I'm also wondering about data. Do any of these apps that can be moved continue to store their data in memory and not on SD? How can I check that?
