Official OTA ICS for The Droid Bionic Due In September Say Motorola Rep.

I just chatted with a rep from motorola who says the Offical ICS update will be released in september ....when in sept. is anyones guess... my guess is sept.31.

What we need is a "Predictor" app. You ask a question and shake the phone (like a Magic 8 Ball). You'll get 2 answers. The first will be a timeframe with things like "Soon" "Shortly" "Next Week" and "Next Quarter." The second line will say where you got it from like "Tech" "2nd Tier Tech" "3rd Tier Tech" "Supervisor" "Developer that's dropped by to say 'Hi' to the techs" "CEO" and "Website I forgot the link to." About as accurate as any othe source. :biggrin:

So i was at the mall. At a verizon kiosk to be exact. And the guy working there told me something different date for the arrival of ICS. He said late Nov. early Dec. then he tried to sell me case for my bionic... go figure.

No lie I was in a Verizon store in Lynnwood (WA) today cuz my friend was getting a Droid 4 to replace his old Droid 2. My friend was talking about ICS on the Droid 4 and he told the dude I had the Bionic and the Sales Rep dude looked at me and was like "The Bionic isn't getting ICS" I sorta smile because it reminded me of this thread and all the experiences people have had where VZW or Moto Reps have told them similar stuff concerning ICS.

Anyways I told the dude that the phone was on Moto's update list for ICS and he looked all confused and just said "Oh really didn't know that". Just goes to show you that it doesn't matter who you talk to no one will ever give you the same answer.

ICS will make it to the Bionic, the leaks are a good indication of that but no one knows when. I'm guessing it'll be this month but who knows. Hopefully sooner than later!
