No, but the lights dont really make a difference to me anyways. I can nail any of the buttons in the dark without looking.

So how many people (with commuters) use the shield that comes with otterbox vs. other shields? I already have a prestige solutions "xtremeguard" which I have not applied yet. I have to choose whether to use it or the one I will get with the commuter otterbox.

Thanks for all opinions.

Lint

Yup got home last night to find this! Got the Commuter cause I wanted something that was still not too bulky, this case is perfect (for me).

CPJR,
I noticed just a little bit of lint on the front of the commuter case. Is the back a slick plastic and the front a rubber-like material? I thought the whole case would be a slick plastic.....

I pre-ordered both commuter and defender to see which one I like best and which one daughter would be less likely to destroy!

There is a rubber case that goes completely over the whole phone first...then a hard polycarbonate casing that covers the entire back, top and basically the center half of each side, if that makes sense. The front portion is rubber.

Lame...,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Huh? Then dont buy the case, lol. Did shiny or flashing things mesmerize you as a child?

Dunno about you but I don't have night vision and prefer to have buttons light up when its pitch black in the room taking a call in the middle of the night.

And yes, I like flashy tech toys, biatch.

You use the screen to answer a call normally, not the buttons.

But once you know where the buttons are, no need to look at them anyway. To quote Oliva Newton John: Feel your way!

You missed the point entirely, wtf is olivia newton john?

You have to use the hard buttons to answer a call? Hmmm, think your X is messed up. Didnt know you could even answer a call with the hard buttons - my screen lights up and gives me plenty of light :icon_eek:

You're the one that said you need to see the buttons to answer a call in the middle of the night. We all think maybe you're using your Droid incorrectly. Might want to scan my avatar.

Came home from work and my otterbox commuter was waiting for me. It's all about preference, but I like the otterbox a lot more than I like the seidio innocase active that I was using. I don't wanna bore you guys with a paragraph about the case, the pictures are a lot more interesting. Excuse the dust/lint, my phone lives in my pocket.

for those of you on the fence about the case, buy it. well worth the money IMO

Is it true you cant see the back light on the four buttons with it on? That otherwise looks perfect for all around protection without making it bulky.
