Number of rings for calls and notifications

I am a recently converted (very happily converted, by the way) Blackberry user. I liked the fact that my blackberry gave me the option to play my notification sound three consecutive times each time I received a text message.

Is there a way or an app that will allow me to do the same on my Droid? I can't seem to get it to play the notification more than once?

Try Missed Call. It has pretty extensive options for notifications and may give you what you want. If not you can always just create a ringtone with the sound repeated.
