I just bought the motorola droid after having a couple of blackberry phones. I would like to be able to have the phone go into a mode that would allow the phone to ring but no notifications of email or text messages.

Can you help me out? THANKS

I just use the audio manager widget to silence various alarams. You can also use toggle switches one the home screen. I know there is an app similar to Locale that lets you set various settings based on time. Just do not know what it is.

You might try Timeriffic. It is free from the Market and does a good job.

I completely agree with the OP, but fear there is not a solution for Android.

I too miss my BB's ability to go into a "Bedside" Mode as it was called. Where only a phone call will cause any sort of alert. All other notifications via LED/sound/vibrate were disabled.

Timeriffic and Locale only alter the sound profile, not allow a custom profile based on notifications, etc to be implemented.

Anyone found a solution? Seems like a simple app to create.
