Note 7 banned from planes by the Feds.

Got your new phone (note 7), can't wait to use the awesome camera to take photos on a trip, well hopefully you are not flying because it looks like the feds have banned the Note 7 from being allowed on an airplane.

It will be interesting to see how long the ban last, how strict it will be enforced, if TSA agents are able to determine a Note 7 from any other Galaxy phone, and if they will allow those who has had their batteries replaced to be able to fly.

I am on a Delta flight this morning, sitting in the plane. The stewardess just announced that all Samsung Note 7 phones need to be completely powered down for the entire flight.

Edit:. They corrected the first announcement and said only Note 7s not all Samsung.

Funny, the problem is not when they are being used, but when they are being charged, which causes then to overheat and batteries to go into thermal runaway. Telling them to turn them off is really excessive.
