No mobile service aftger 2.2 upgrade on Droid PagePlus plan

Phone upgraded to 2.2 last night... this morning before rebooting to install the update I was still able to send n receive calls and sms messages. After reboot and install, no more service, the phone just can't connect to the Verizon network, but connects fine to my WiFi.

I'm on a a PagePlus plan.

Any ideas?

Try to reactivate the phone. Dial *22899

Thanks for the *22899, didn't know it.

But, there's NO Mobile Service, can't active.
I type the number, hit Dial, and I get a msg saying "Mobile Network not available". As if the radio is turned off, like in Airplane mode or something. The "bars" symbol at the top right of the phone shows zero bars and an "x" in the corner. No service. Zero. Nada.

Aight so I fixed this myself.

Nothing I could do within 2.2 would fix this. At one point of trying I even got stuck in Airplane Mode and could NOT get the phone out of it.

I downgraded to 2.1 using RDSLite.
Manually downloaded the 2.2 update.zip.
Copied to SD and manually ran the update to 2.2.

Now everything works.
Weird.
